After discussion at the meeting tonight, the current plan is to hold a meeting every week on Monday night, try to get there for 6, and we'll probably kick off about 6.30.
We'll be starting this coming Monday - details of venue will follow as soon as we have them, and we'll send an e-mail around.
The first meeting will be a writing meet, and then the week after will be a reading meet. Then a writing meet. Then a reading meet... I think you're getting the idea, right?
The basic plan for the writing meet (which may well be adjusted somewhat) is to spend the first half on actual writing - there'll be set tasks/challenges, writing games, or people are welcome to sit and work on something of their own choosing if they prefer. The second half will be reading out work - either pieces written in that session, or things people have brought with them. You can have someone else read your work if you prefer. There'll be an anonymous vote on which piece was best, with some sort of prize for the winner.
That's the plan as it stands at the moment, but it may change between now and Monday, that's just to give you a basic idea of the sort of thing we're doing.
We'll probably finish up about 9ish, at which point the social begins...
The reading meet will be the following Monday, with luck, which Matt (not cryurchin, I'm not sure what his username is) will be organizing. There'll be more details nearer the time, but there'll be a set text for discussion, and possibly reading of plays and the like. That should finish about 9 as well, at which point the social will begin...
Sorry this is pretty vague, details will be up as soon as we've got them!
