Any one interested in seting up a poetry/spoken word review?

I was talking with Zoe and people t'other day about setting up a creative writing night once a month, and a book club once a month. The idea was basically that we get a room somewhere - maybe book a room in a pub, the Cambrian or the Coopers Arms or the Angel or something, on, say, the first and third Sunday of every month. On the first Sunday we'd have a creative writing meet - I had some vague plans, but I'd love ideas from other people - something like the first hour is workshop - can play some writing games, and set writing tasks and stuff - try some experimental stuff, group writing, pairs and stuff, as well as solo stuff - both poetry and stories, drama, fantasy, comedy, all sorts. Then the second half is readings - poetry and stories (though with a word limit on the stories, and maybe only one story a night, or something). Can put pads out on the tables so people can write feedback for the author, and vote at the end on which was the best piece of the night - the best writer each night gets, say, a £5 book token, and their piece goes up on the front page of the website 'til next month?
This is mostly what I've been thinking through myself, so please let me know if this is what you guys want, if any of it sounds crap, or you have ideas for other stuff we could do as well.
The book club would be on the other night in the month - there'd be a new book nominated each month, and people'd discuss it. There was another girl - sorry, I never caught your name? - at the meeting who seemed interested in organising that.
Was that the sort of thing you meant, or did you mean something else?
Was also thinking could have some creative writing competitions, probably mostly based around these boards, with some sort of prize - maybe everyone pays £1 to enter, and that money goes towards buying the prize.

That sounds really really amazing. The experimental writing/ writing group thing sounds really cool, but then I always like something with the hint of the coterie to it. I for one would certainly be up for it.

Wow, Rose, that all sounds pretty cool - especially the creative writing plans. It would certainly help me out having another group of people to give me feedback on my writing (when I get round to doing any!)
